Graduated from Velez College with her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and recently obtained her Masters in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University. Apple initially worked in the early intervention program for children 0-3 years old with developmental delay, pervasive developmental disorders, congenital disorders, and neurological disorders. With her interest in feeding and dysphagia, she then obtained her advanced practice in swallowing and the use of physical agent modalities to assist her with working with families and treating newborn infants and children with feeding difficulties. With this certification, she has worked with conducting MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Studies) to assess safety and effectiveness of swallows for children in the process of transitioning from tube feeding or oral feeding. With further interest in feeding newborn infants, Apple also obtained her certification as a lactation specialist to assist mothers and their children during the early stages of feeding.
Berry received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from De La Salle University-Manila. She pursued her studies in based on her internal interest in working with children and later obtained her Master of Arts degree in Occupational Therapy from University of Southern California where she started her training in Ayre's Sensory Integration Theory. Berry has a strong background working with children 0-21 years of age with developmental delay, pervasive developmental disorders, congenital disorders, neurologic disorders and injuries and physical disabilities. She also pursued her training in feeding and swallowing for children with feeding difficulties and disorders.
